Fish Day
Annually in May
The Annual "Get a Kid Hooked on Fishing" is held every spring around the Saginaw area. During this event, hundreds of area youth get an opportunity to come out and fish for brook trout.
Pheasant Hunt
Annually in October
This past fall, 25 young hunters gathered for an exciting day of pheasant hunting. They come together in the morning to learn gun safety and practice target shooting prior to heading over to the Shiawassee River State Game Area for the hunt.

Outreach Field Days
Annually June, July & August
Through grant programs or simply conservation education, the District provides workshops and field days annually in various topics of practices to better manage our natural resources.
