This past fall, 25 young hunters gathered for an exciting day of pheasant hunting. They come together in the morning to learn gun safety and practice target shooting prior to heading over to the Shiawassee River State Game Area for the hunt.

The Annual "Get a Kid Hooked on Fishing" is held every spring around the Saginaw area. During this event, hundreds of area youth get an opportunity to come out and fish for brook trout.

This past July and March, the District hosted professionals for educational sessions, in-field equipment demonstrations, and a farmer-led discussion panel, discussing topics such as cover crops and managing soil health.
