Calling all Saginaw County growers! Saginaw Conservation District is rolling out a new program called Twilight Grower Gatherings. The purpose is to connect specialty crop, small vegetable, livestock, fruit, mushroom and flower growers allowing them to meet and share information and experiences with other local growers in a casual setting.

We’re kicking things off at 5Heart Earthworm Farm in Birch Run where food scraps are turned into nutrient-rich worm castings (vermicomposting). Join us July 23rd from 5-7pm to learn more about their operation, make new connections and enjoy a delicious potluck meal. This is a collaborative event with Genesee Conservation District.
