Community Garden Workshop Series

Thomas Township is opening a new Community Garden in May of 2023! We decided the best way to share in the excitement is to offer a series of free gardening workshops for the community. These workshops will be taught by local experts and will help you kick the 2023 gardening season off right, with new skills and loads of confidence. Get a jump start on the growing season by starting your own seeds at home. Ryan and Taylor from Schomaker Farms will share the basics of starting common home garden classics and some tips and tricks he's learned on the farm.

Wondering how to get started planting your garden plot? Which plants get along together? How far apart should they be? What do I plant and when? Nick Dague from Grandpa's Garden Company will guide us through all of this and more.

Don't know a Japanese Beetle from a Ladybug? Do you wonder how to safely fertilize your crops? John & Jennifer Dusek from Faber's Greenhouse & Floral will impart some of their vast knowledge of these topics with us.
